Girl Scout Thanksgiving Pot Luck (A Tad Late)

Two weeks ago, our Girl Scout Troops had their very first "Pot Luck Thanksgiving". The girls helped make fun decorations for the tables along with little pins for the moms/grandma's/aunts to wear. The girls were able to invite family and friends for food and fun. One of my Co-Leaders (THANK YOU KAREN!!) was able to get her church function room for our event. And it worked out perfectly. Jason and I cooked the turkey's. Our first ever. And I would say we did a rather good job. Though a bit dry due to the fact that we used our convection oven for the very first time and they cooked them SUPER QUICK. Next year we will remember.

The kids had a fantastic time. And I was really glad to have the chance to meet the girls sisters, fathers, aunts and uncles. That is always the highlight.

Here are some great pictures of our special day! ENJOY!

The Tables all set up. The decorations in the middle represent "Corn Husks" they are made from toilet paper rolls, brown tissue paper, fall colored buttons, and raffia" Very simple and really cute

Ezme saying to me: "Mommy, is it time to eat yet?"

Join Us...Tell all your Friends and Family

Please help support Troops 133 and 655 as they sell some wonderful items at the Christmas Fair this year. All proceeds go directly to our troop. It is the goal of the girls to help purchase new items for the Childrens Wing of the new Johnston Mohr Library that is being built!! How wonderful it would be to see the girls faces as they watch others use the items that they helped to purchase!!

This years event will be located at Anna McCabe Elementary School on 100 Pleasant View Ave in Smithfield, RI.

We will be selling some fantastic items!! Homemade pumpkin bread complete with a wonderful ceramic bread pan to use for the holidays.

Homemade Hats and Scarfs. Who doesn't need to stay warm this winter season? All sizes. From the hubby in your life, to the newborn little one who needs to keep those little ears warm and toasty.

The little kids will even be pitching in with some homemade trail mix. Its so good you will want to buy more then one tin!! And best part, you can keep the tin!!

Other items will be available for purchase as well. So come down and join us wont you. And help support our troops!

We missed everyone

Just wanted to say I missed a lot of you today at girl scouts. We decorated out Turkey feathers and talked about family. All who were unable to make today will work on their feathers next week as we continue to talk about family and gear up for our Thanksgiving Potluck. See everyone next week!

Toilet Paper Rolls

I am in desperate need of Toilet Paper rolls for a project we will be doing. I need at least 24 (one for each girl). So if you can, please save those rolls for me and bring them the next time you see me. Thank You.
